Web Calibration for Oral Health Reviewers

Note: Visitors are welcome to view this course, but only the individuals that meet the PSP criteria are allowed to conduct the oral health reviews and are responsible for the PSP results. It is mandatory that this calibration course be completed each school year.”

  1. It may be helpful to print the PSP Oral Health Review Form and the Calibration Slides for reference during the training video.
  2. View the YouTube Calibration video. The Closed Captions will play automatically. You have the option to turn off the Closed Captions by pressing the CC button on the tool bar at the bottom right of the video screen before starting the video. The Closed Captions interferes with the pictures on some of the slides.
  3. After you have finished the training, complete the Calibration Completion/Registration Form. Please complete the 5 question quiz and the registration form. You must answer all 5 questions correctly. After you submit the form, the certificated for the calibration for 1 CEU (continuing education credit) for dentists, hygienists, and expanded function dental assistants (EFDA) will appear. Complete the fillable certificate. Print and/or save the certificate for your records.

Flouride Varnish Application Calibration

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and complete the online Flouride Varnish Application Calibration (link below) to apply the fluoride varnish to children participating in the Preventive Services Program (PSP). We require completion of the Fluoride Varnish Application Calibration each school year. Instructions to watch the calibration and receive a certificate are below.

  1. View the Flouride Varnish Application Calibration by clicking on the YouTube link or the PDF link.
  2. After you have finished the calibration, complete the Calibration Completion/Registrations Form. Please complete the 3-question quiz and the registration form. You must answer all 3 questions correctly.
  3. After you submit the Calibration Completion/Registration Form, a screen will appear with a link to the certificate for the calibration for 1 CEU (continuing education credit) for volunteers. If the calibration is viewed by large groups, please have each individual complete a registration form. If this is not possible, contact our office at oralhealth@health.mo.gov for paper forms.

If a large group views this training session, please have all participants complete the form individually. If this is not possible, contact your OHC for paper forms.
